This book was truly a joy to create and I am grateful to Chronicle Books for the opportunity.

The site is a bit different this time.... It’s a salute to all my mentors—the people who taught me to be more studied in my work, appreciate the details of each and every prop and paint color, and see the nuances in how items are arranged.  I had such fun working on this collection of ideas and forging some new style for myself and, hopefully, a new direction in inspiration for all of you.  We have a couple of new topics, including "what's in my pantry," which inspired all the foods in our entertaining column. There’s also a brief list of where I've been shopping lately and what I’m buying right now for projects I’m working on  in the future.

We love hearing from you, and this season we would love to know about your secret sources. We want to know where you shop, the foods you buy, the businesses you’ve found that import. interesting antiques and decorations from other countries.  Please e-mail me at mgmeadinc@aol.com and tell me all about what you love and why you love it!

I've promised and promised that the site will be fully refreshed in its design and content, and that is going to happen for the summer.  I promise you will be amazed at all the new features—especially my blog. I am so excited about all of it, and, yes, there will be at least one special magazine issue this fall branded with my name and signature style. Check my blog for evolving details.
